Bloody brilliant. The new computer has arrived. And I have to say not soon enough. It was meant to be delivered on Wednesday but imagine my dismay when it didn't show. Boo. But then today it did show up. So I've been wasting away infront of it pretty much all day. Sad bastard? Well that may be but I do enjoy it so leave me be. Office will be installed this evening and then the dreaded thesis can be kicked into touch. Oh the joy that will give me.
Competition
As you know, I entered Scaryduck's competition the other day. I chose the form of a short story to tickle Mrs Duck's ribs. So I've sent it off to him (I think, but the dodgy old computer was acting very strangely prior to its demise) and shall await the result. I was just wondering if anyone would like to peruse my efforts and if you do then let me know in the usual way and I'll post it on here or elsewhere.
Time Wasting
Proctor has pointed me in the direction of this most foolish game. I think it's been out for ages though so forgive me if I'm telling you nothing new. Its name is celebdaq. It works on the very simple premise of celebrities being viewed as the equivalent to companies on the stock market. However, their value is dictated by the column inches of news coverage they receive. So you can buy, trade and sell as you wish. Sound inane? It is. But I bet you have a look anyway. Personally I prefer real shares, even when you've got no money to invest you can still get a trial portfolio up and running.
